Freya's Marani - Wind and Rain 2020

A beautiful orange wine from Georgia by American born Enek Peterson, the female owner and winemaker of Freya's Marani. Everything is done by hand in this tiny winery which exists since 2015. She creates wild yet sophisticated, pure wines all from the traditional Qvevri. She used to manage the infamous Tbilisi winebar Vino Underground before starting out for herself. 

She is extremely minimal intervention. All her wines are bottled in recycled glass bottles and she hasn’t cut the grass in the vineyard for 5 years. The scale of the winery has been kept small so that Enek can do all the work by herself without having to hire external help.
