Glow Glow - Riesling 2021

We'll leave the descriptions for the Glow Glow wines in the very capable hands of the winemaker:

In 2019, we bottled our first Riesling from grapes growing on red sandstone, in 2020 we processed grapes from yellow sandstone. With the 2021 vintage, we were able to work with both of our family's favorite vineyard sites: Mandeler Dellchen (red sandstone) and Mandeler Schlossberg (yellow sandstone). Both are south-facing steep slopes on the same hill, changing soil types and character within only a few hundred meters.

Before harvest, we considered bottling two different kinds of Riesling, representing the two sites. In the cellar, however, they proved to be a perfect match. While the part from red sandstone shows a rather mineral character, the one from yellow sandstone is really fruit-driven. Together they are a real Nahe Riesling: Elegant and focused.
