Philip Lardot - Apfelwein
Apfelwein is an ASOP Wines exclusive, made by our friend Philip Lardot in the German Mosel. Cider varieties, picked at optimal ripeness, crushed, pressed, then barrel aged for about six months and bottled without added sugar. That means it's a still cider, no bubbles and bottled under cork.
We mostly sell it as a food pairing for a dish that could take both a cider as an orange wine (think Indian kitchen, for example) . But to be honest, we drink it mostly as is, in a large wine glass and with quite big gulps.
