Ulrich Stein is one of our favorite German producers, whom we consider a friend. A rebel, a legend and a talented winemaker. 

This Spätburgunder comes from an old vineyard located on the Palmberg in Sankt Aldegund, from old vines, on very steep, slate slopes. It is a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir, clearly from a warm vintage where Ulli aimed for optimal ripeness. A ripe, cherry infused Pinot Noir with a long, soft finish. The longer the wine is open, the more the smokiness and minerality in the finish comes to the front.
