Joubert - Morgon Côte de Py 2019

The natural Beaujolais wines by Joubert are one of our favorite recent discoveries, the Beaujolais-Villages but also really this Côte de Py. For different reasons as well, where the Beaujolais-Villages is pure play, fruit and energy; this Côte de Py is dark, powerful and impressive. Still very much a Beaujolais, so hardly any tannins, but you can really sense the granitic hill that these vines are growing in. Zero sulfur, maximum energy and very, very stabile. This wine can stay open for days, must you want that.
