La Stoppa - Trebbiolo 2019
La Stoppa is a longtime natural wine producer in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Spearheaded by Eleana Pantaleoni, a charming but daring female changemaker whom we've met during a tasting in New York.
The younger version of the traditional blend of Colli Piacentini, obtained from the local varieties Barbera (60%) and Bonarda (40%). Born from the selection of the bigger berries, as well as from the younger and lower parts of the vineyards.. Planted on a healthy, organically farmed soil of clay silt.
This has been a personal favorite for many years, always offering that warm embrace of Emilia-Romagna sunshine. Excellent pairing with any tomato based sauces (pasta's, lasagne, pizza etc)
