Stein - Alfer Hölle '1900' Riesling Kabinett Trocken 2021
Stein's 1900 is considered his top wine, coming from a tiny parcel of ungrafted Riesling vines planted in the year 1900. That's a 120 year old vines, coming from a steep slate hill in the middle of the village of Alf. Normally fermented as a Feinherb (off-dry), this wine from a colder vintage is still in any way a powerhouse, capable of decades of aging. The old and the new Mosel all in one.
The 2021 vintage is the first not labeled as a Spätlese Feinherb but as a Kabinett Trocken, Ulli Stein's idea of best mastering this classic vintage.
