Villa Rubini - Ribolla Gialla orange 2019

Villa Rubini is a new discovery from one of our favorite wine regions in Italy: Friuli, right up to the Slovenian border. This is an orange wine from Ribolla Gialla, a grape variety that's very well suited for production of skin contact wines. This has seen 8 days of skin contact, fermented on native yeasts in used oak barrels, unfiltered and a mininum sulfur usage. 

At the same time, this is not just another funky orange wine, there's a classical tone to this. Reminiscent to the wines of Radikon to us, this is a super pure and structured wine with a beautiful intensity in smell and taste.
