Wijndomein Oude Waalstroom - De Zon Tegemoet Rosé

Is it a rosé or a light red? Who cares, it’s delicious! Made by Oude Waalstroom in Hurwenen, exactly one hour from this shop. Made from all red grapes; Rondo, Cabernet Cortis and Cabernet Cantor.

Wildly fermented, aged in steel for almost a year and bottled unfined and unfiltered. A small touch of sulfur and that’s it. And the result is delicuous, with smells of cherry and wild strawberries and plenty of freshness and lightness on the finish.

The names says it all, “de zon tegemoet”, Dutch for ‘towards to sun’, which is what we suggest with a cold bottle of this wine.
