Rosalie Curtin - Daughter of Pearl 2022

This is the first white wine made by Rosalie Curtin! 100% Riesling from Piesporter Falkenberg in 2022. Hand picked, footstomped, and pressed after a few hours. The fermentation took a whopping 22 months(!), with a total of 28 months in barrel for the wine.

This is a deeply complex and beautiful dry Riesling, that is perfect wine geek material. Very a-typical for Mosel, or is this barrel aged dry style maybe the old typical Mosel style?  On the nose there is a fresh ripe lemon fruit typical for Riesling, mixed with rich ceder wood and a faint petrol smell. Long and lingering, very good.
